23歳の頃に南部点刻の存在を知り独学で習得。最初の5～6年は全然彫れなくて失敗ばかりしていましたが、面白くて寝食を忘れ無我夢中で彫り続けました。

今では、盛岡市を中心に徐々に記念碑の設置数が増え続け、それを見た人達から新たな依頼を頂戴するようになり嬉しい限りです。100年後も皆様の記憶に残る名作を彫り続けたい！と精魂込めて彫り続けています。

When I was 23 years old, I learned about “Nanbu Tenkoku” and learned it by myself. For the first 5-6 years, I couldn’t carve at all and kept making mistakes.

Now, the number of monuments has been gradually increasing, mainly in Morioka City, and I am happy to receive new requests from people who have seen them.

I want to continue carving masterpieces that will remain in everyone’s memory even after 100 years! I will continue to carve with all my heart and soul.

川目石材に入社（3代目）
Joined Kawame Sekizai（third generation）

独学で彫り続ける
